Good place for some barbecue! The brisket was good and so was the sausage. The Mac and cheese was really good as well! The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good barbecue.

I love this place food is very tasty my favorite bbq place i travel from San Antonio to gonzalas for bbq i know the manger personal he is a good and nice owner the staff is also awsome.sausage n lamb just how i like it

Tastes like home. No frills, down home, good Texas BBQ. I had a 2 meat combo, ribs and sausage with 2 sides. Mac and cheese and rice and beans which I had mixed. Hands down my favorite beans and rice from any type of restaurant, whether that be Mexican food or BBQ, the beans and rice here are amazing. And not because they use some exotic spices. Because literally tastes like grandma's house. Their BBQ sausage is very unique and I've never had any thing quite like it. Short links with almost a chorizo type flavor always juicy and flavorful. Ribs are tender and not overly seasoned. Smoke does most of the talking on the ribs. I love this place and highly recommend it.

Delicious plump and juicy beef sausage. It has the perfect seasoning and flavor.

Let me just tell you. My mother & father who are not the biggest fans of BBQ ( I know gasp, insert eye rol, they are yankees ) devoured their entire plates! My husband and I shared the pulled pork & brisket & my daughter had lamb ribs. The smoke ring was perfect, the food had the exact amount of bite without falling off the bone & flavor qas on point. One of the staff members, presumably a family member, was super sweet. He asked where my parents were from and struck up a convo. Very courteous staff and clearly everyone in this town loves the food because it was slammed during lunch time. Thanks for a great experience Definitely will be back, signed those darn Boston peeps lol

Amazing BBQ!!!! This was my first time going with my mom she raved about it and we finally went. Food was fresh and the service was very welcoming. I’ll be going back for sure!!!

Y'all. Just. Y'all. The fam and I were in Gonzales because we had to get the rear window on our truck replaced. But, won't He do it?!? Look at God y'all. Turned a negative into a blessing. This place was recommended by one of the service techs at the shop we took our truck to. A family run barbecue spot that's been in business for 60 odd years is right up my alley and I can tell you that they do it right. Mesquite and Oak smoke, family atmosphere, history on the walls, great selection of meats from lamb to chicken and everything in-between. Cheesy potatoes that were clearly prepared by angels, coconut pie and banana pudding worthy of any grandma's Sunday dinner spread. If this isn't on your Texas BBQ bucket list then your list isn't complete and if you only have time to eat one meal in Gonzales and don't do it here, you clearly need to work on your critical thinking and decision making skills.

I love this place! The wife and I took the Texas Independence Trail on our way to the coast and this was our first stop for lunch. Super friendly service, a true Texas bbq joint with a cozy atmosphere. Lots of rustic wood and rusted metal interior and photos on the walls. Best brisket sandwich I've had in a long time! My wife got 3 sides and they were all home made quality. This is definitely our #1 spot in town and we will be back every time we go to the coast!
